06/10/2003: EB-485 Processing in Snail Pace

The EB-485 filers are continuously experiencing frustration from the backlog of their applications. The exact reasons are not known from any sources, but at least one sources indicate that EB-485 cases will not move any better at least until the new fiscal year, October 1, 2003. Ya, ya, ya......
 
there were some approvals 6/9 6/10

but people are not updating rupnet!!

the current speed is about 3 month to clear 1 month backlog, I hope the snail pace is no worse than this!!!

Yes, it maybe true since we haven't seen any straight approval from Rupnet in these days. Only few approvals from RFE or delayed post though it's approved several weeks ago.
 
Reading some posts indicate VSC has 3 or 4 times more I-485 applications than other centers. Anybody disagree? If so, VSC approval rate has to be 3 or 4 times more than other centers?

If one month takes three months, how they are going to deal this
in future? Is number of adjudicators are same in all centers?

So many questions? No proper answers?
 
The question is whether or not VSC is working on 485 cases from the last few days. One of my friend in Boston called up Local BCIS office to inquire about his wife's 485 status to which an officer there replied that the GC processing has stopped until further notice. I immediately called up NSC to find out the validity of the news and the representative told me that they have'nt been notified anything to this effect so far.....Looking at the recent rate of approvals and then my friends experience in Boston leaves me wondering...............
 
Dirty tricks

See.. here are the dirty tricks:
1. Delay the processing of I-485 so we have to extend EADs and APs - results: MORE MONEY for BCIS! :mad:
2. And then now they don't backdate the EADs, so if there's a gap in employment, due to BCIS's fault because they don't process it fast enough, we are screwed! BCIS will consider the employment illegal and thus subject to denial of I-485!! :mad:
 
I just ran a script of EAC-02-063. It dosent have a single approval/transfere/RFP on 06/10/2003. so it confirms that BCIS has stopped working on AOS cases.

Now I dont bother about my AVM message of 2nd FP. But now I am mentaly prepared for the 3rd FP. telling you guys many of us may receive 3rd FP.

The way it is going, everybody nedd to do 2nd FP.
That will be total chaos and more delay.

I wish BCIS do not need to do that.::D
 
My 2 cents

I have a set of 296 EAC# for EAC-02-081 series - These are Dec. cases with ND -01/09. I regularly run script on these cases. My observation is since 05/06, VSC is consistantly adjudicating 4 to 8 cases per working day (Say average 6 cases). It includes approvals/RFEs etc. - I know it's slow. But it's moving!

Question is how slow is slow ? If VSC was receiving 10 I-485 apps a day and they were processing 4-8, that would not have been a problem. However, they receive at least 100 I-485 cases a day. So in context, how long would it take to process a month's cases ? They are quite hopelessly backlogged now, in a year they will be booked to the next century.

As I said in my earlier post if VSC touches 6 cases a day (out of 296 cases), the rate is 2% a day - i.e. Approx. 2 months for all these cases starting 05/09.

However, that's just the 'touch' rate. We've got RFE on 06/09. Don't know when the 're-touch' will happen!
