bad credit - what affect does it have on application process?

I am unfortunately about six months behind on one of my credit cards. All my other credit accounts are up to date. I'm just wondering what affect this generally has on the application process. Is there any chance it could be stalling my application process? I ask because according to experiences listed in my district office, others who have applied up to a month after me have already received their interview notices while I have yet to receive mine. Or is it more likely to be an issue at the interview? Or does it have no bearing at all on the naturalization?

Its unfortunate that such a thing happened...but even if u had bad credit for the last 10 yrs,it wouldnt matter...like boatbod said,credit history has nothing to do with n400 application process...
for ex. my friends dad had no credit at all...
