Background check

Hi Everyone,

As you can see from my signature I have just passed my interview.
Am I to assume my background check was completed before I was scheduled for an interview?
Or do they give interviews even if background checks are pending?

I appreciate your help with this question.

Standard procedure is to complete the background checks before scheduling the interview.

A small percentage of people will still have a pending background check at the time of the interview, but USCIS can't keep it pending forever because the applicant can file 1447(b) to force them to decide the case if it is pending for more than 120 days after the interview.
