hi all,
i'm just curious,are all the background check for all applicants for naturalization or green card and any other immigration benefits are the same? or is it USCIS is more strict of naturalization application?thanks....

They are exactly the same. IBIS, FBI name check and criminal background check are performed in the same capacity for LPR and naturalization applicant. There is no difference.
 
I think that the database keeps getting updated so the namechecks may bring different results for the GC and the n400 process. After all an applicant has a gap of 3-5 yrs from GC to n400. Plus there may be more data sharing bet agencies than what we know, so who knows what is going on.
 
another question/s, what primarily contains in the person's background check?does it contain everything about the person's life or does it contain just as the person been arrested and fingerprinted?thanks....

We don't know. I guess it contains everything. It may include court data (divorce, family, traffic, etc), driving record (traffic violations, dwi/dui, accident violations, jaywalk, etc.), name check (check if you have other names, old names, etc.), police records (warranty, arresting records, fingerprint records, etc), irs records, address history, person's history (marriage, family, more than one wife or husband, widow, etc), background check including employer history, communist member, any membership, unemployment check, selective service letter, etc.
