My I-485 has been pending for 3 years (filed Dec. 2003). Recently we request our status of I-485 through 1-800 number (oct. 2006) and got a response of background check pending for both me and my spouse. We desided to make some effort to push our case (either from WOM or other ways). We made an appointment with local immig. officer through Infopass and originally tried to get an appointment for my figure print since my first fingure print has been expired. But surprising, we found that my I-485 is "Administrative closed " on may 26th, 2006 and background check is still pending and my spouse's case is still open and background check is cleared. Since my spouse is dependent of mine, my spouse is still waiting. The local officer told us that it is maybe a mistake and she will send something to reopen the case. We called our attorney and told him all of info. He is kind of confused because the response to his requirement of our status of I-485 (from lawyer society on Aug., 2006) is also "background check pending" and he never had an immigration case with "administrative closed". We just got our renewed EAD card. We are really comfused. We didn't get an appointment for refinger-print since the officer just didn't want to do it. Did anyone has the same situation as us? How can we get a fingure-print appointment?
