Backdated green card?

Folks, has anyone seen that? I-485 approved this month, I-551 and code 2 done on Feb. 17, card received last Saturday, BUT... the card sez "resident since ...", which is the date EXACTLY 6 months before I-551 (and before the date of approval notice). Not that I'm complaining, but I still wonder if it is kosher. Any thoughts? Cheers!

Seems odd... you cannot have been 'resident since' any date prior to the date of your 485 approval. In our case, our cards read 'resident since' the date our 485 was approved (which was a several months before we received the actual cards).

I don't know if this is a data entry issue -- perhaps you should check with your local DO or the SC if the information on your card is incorrect.

Actually, Joe, I talked to the low-level munchkin first, and after she admitted she has no clue, I got transferred to an individual who introduced himself as "Officer Thisorthat". So I do think it's all kosher.

agreed

I agree with JoeF, I never got any accurate answer from calling the 800#. If I were you, I would take an infopass and go and talk to an immigration officer in person.
