Hello folks.I'm back home from Paris.Arrived @ JFK(New York) airport @ 8:30 P.M. Ligned up with PRs and USCs.Reached I.O with 3 questions:
I.O : Where are coming from?
Cadel : Paris
I.O : How long have you been there?
Cadel : 5 days
I.O :What do you do in US.
Cadel :I work for the New York Police Department

welcome back,
Are you giving people speeding ticket or you doing something else?>
tanx for the update.
I really like JFK airport, I have come back through that airport 4 times so far and never got any problems. I think there are more nice people. Actually the reason is because there are more immigrants which travel through that airport so the immigration office know how to deal with diferent cases.

I agree, JFK is the best airport, you truly feel like home when coming back, even if you are directed to 'the room'.

I work for the NYPD as a TEA(Traffic Enforcement Agent). You need to be a PR for this position. Then after 3 years in the job, you may take a test for P.O(Police officer). To be a P.O you need to be a USC.I've passed a test back in 2003.My position was pending since I was an asylee. The NYPD didn't want to hire me and was requiring a GC.My unrestricted SS and NY state DL + my asylum status( which allows me to work in US) were not enough to get the job.

That good, I am sure by the time you become a USC you will be able to joing the law enforcement unit. My brother is an officer in NYC, his precinct falls under Jackson Heights area.
