i am a permanent resident in canada. My first born child has to be born at my parents homecountry which is South Africa .. what status will m baby get when i return to Canada?
Do i need to apply seperately ?
As your baby will be born in South Africa you will have to sponsor her/him to become a PR of Canada. The process of sponsoring your baby will take 2 to 6 months from Pretoria plus approx 1 months to approve you as a sponsor. Also you will have to return to Canada to sponsor your baby.
I personally feel that if possible you should have the baby in Canada. It will save you a lot of trouble.
