Hi All,

I have couple of questions regarding the B2 Visa.
I would like to sponcer my mother and I have been here since 1 1/2 year only.

Q1)

Will there be any problem if I submit only one W2 along with Visa application for my mother, its because I am here since 1 1/2 year??

Q2) Do they need to depart from same port of entry ??, can we change the location of departure ??, say If they land in SFO and can they depart from Detroit ??

I would really appreciate if anybody could clarify my queations.
Thanks in advance.

We first lesson is that please be patient, an evening post often takes time to beget an answer. Patience will be a virtue in this process.

Yes you can use only one w2 along with recent pay stubs to sponsor your mom.
Even the consular people are not that illogical to expect two W2s from someone who has not been here long enough to get them.

On the other hand though, the way the appointments are going (March 2006), you will probably get your 2005 W2 (due by Jan 31 2006) before your mom goes for interview.

Good Luck

I think it will not be a problem as long as you depart before the I-94 expiry
date. I never heard this from anyone and it is only a guess.
Also, from what I heard before, they might ask to show the return journey
ticket at port of entry.

Sept13.

Ports of entry and exit are not an issue. there are many reasons you might do that.

As long as the rest is legal and above board (meaning timely departure) it does not matter. You dont even have to land at the same port of entry as you indicated earlier.

For example what if the sponsor moved after the Visa interview and they need to arrive at a differnt airport.

What is for personal reasons/ tourism they decide to travel to some other city and decide to leave from there.
The only trouble you will have is booking the tickets as you might have to pay more for such tkts.

There is no law preventing it.
