b2 extension inquiry

hey all,

i have recently recieved and extension of stay on my b2 visa for another 6 months.
my current I-94 is stamped for my stay to end on the 28th april 2009
my extension allows me to stay until the 28 october 2009.

my question is that i have planned a vacation away with friends to brazil.
we leave on the 23 april 09(5 days before my current expiry date)
i return on 3 may 09 (10 days later).
although i have been granted an extention to stay with the usa for an additional 6 months do you think it would cause any problems when i re-enter the usa?

any responses appreciated
 
I'm afraid your extension will become void once you leave the country, and the CBP agents in the borders will get to decide on your matter.
However, if you bring along your documents with the approval of the extension, it may help. (From my experience, you shouldn't show these documents in the airport unless you see there are problems. First, try to have the agents grant you another 6 months stay without mentioning your special situation).
