My parents entered the U.S. in December 2019 on B2 visas. Due to COVID-19 travel disruptions, we successfully extended their I-94 until November 2020. We filed a second extension application due to ongoing flight uncertainty; however, they departed for India three days after their I-94 expired. The second application was later rejected because of a missing signature, resulting in a technical overstay of three days. My question is we are now filling new DS-160 for visa renewal in B2 category,
For the question have you overstayed ever should we say "Yes"?
Does that effect visa approval ?
They successfully came and left after 5 months stay in 2024 again without issues at POE.
