My in laws need to come here by the first week of December as we are having a baby and they just got their passports finally. However there is no appointment available in Chennai before December so we have booked an appointment at New Delhi. My concern is that in such cases the embassy requires us to demonstrate need to travel before an appointment is available at the US Consulate General serving their place of residence which is Chennai. I have heard that having a baby is not a good enough reason for the same. Please advice on what they need to be prepared with in order to get a Visa from Delhi.
