B1 Visa I94 - Forgot to return it back

Hi,

I travelled to US on B1 , i have already been travelling back and forth several times on B1, This time i forgot to return my I94 back on the airport and carried it along with me.

I would like to know what are all the implications of not returning it back ?
Is there a way with which i can fax it up back to the USCIS ?
Will this affect my reentry back in future, since the records might not indicate my travel back and is there a possibility that the INS might think, i actually overstayed during my next visit.?

Well, you dont have to worry, what you need to do is send your I94 to the US counsulate in India to which ever city you got your Visa stamped, say you got your B1 stamped from chennai counsulate, send this I94 with a letter stating that you or airline did not detach it by mistake and your return date was so and so to india also take a copy of passport where on the day of return to india you get date stamped . this would be enough to support the case and the consulate in India intimates their counterparts in US as a process.
