B1 visa approved from Chennai consulate for my mom

My mom got visitors visa through Chennai yesterday. I took the the appointment for her in English since there was no dates available for local language. But when she went to the consulate, they asked her if she wants to be interviewed in local language or English, and she was interviewed in the local language.
