i have been sponsored a j1 starting dec 1 2007. I currently have a b1/b2. I want to enter the US earlier for interviews and other work at the univ where i will bejoining for research on j1.
If i get my j1 stamped in india, can i enter US earlier on my b1/b2? how do i adjust my status to the ALREADY stamped j1? do i need to apply for dat? how time consuming can dat be?
