This is for my parents. They have a B visa. Last visit, there was an accident and we had to extend my mom's stay for surgery. We applied for an extension and got approved. the i797 approval was mailed but lost in transit. now I have to file to I824. I have a letter from consulate that the case has been approved.
They are in India now and will be visiting next month. Can they travel on the basis of the letter and all their medical documentation. Their visa stamp is till 2010. OR should I wait till I get a duplicate for the i797 and then ask them to visit.
