My parents applied for their B2 visa in June 2003 and were rejected under 214(b). All the three kids are here in the US and that may be the case. I will become a citizen next month and I am thinking of applying for my parents. Last time my brother who is on H-1 B applied for them. Now, what should I do? I would rather that they apply for a non- immigrant visa now than immigrant as dad is doc and cant leave practice and come here. Please let me know what is the best way to approach this situation. As an US citizen, am I allowed to go to the consulate with my parents. I know I can sponsor them and get them gcs but as I mentioned that should be some kind of advantage of getting a visa for them, for a citizen sponsored son or isnt it ?
