B-2 Visa (stamp) upon entrance by Green card?

Hello! I was absent in US for 1.5 months and renewed there my foreign passport. I'm a permanent Green card holder until 2022, good guy, paying taxes etc. Upon entry to US they checked my green card and at home I realized they put a B-2 stamp (visitor visa) in my passport. Is it a mistake? What does it mean? Do I need to start worrying?
Thank you

It must be a mistake.

If you're worried about it, you can get it corrected at a Deferred Inspection site. See http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/toolbox/contacts/deferred_inspection/overview_deferred_inspection.xml
The Deferred Inspection Site staff is also available to review and issue the necessary documents to remedy errors recorded on arrival documents issued at the time of entry to the United States relating to improper non-immigrant classification, inaccurate biographical information or incorrect period of admission, if appropriate. Any designated deferred inspection location or CBP office located within an international airport should be able to assist you, regardless of where the actual document was issued.

So when did that stamp get put on your passport? What were you going to the U.S. consulate to do when this happened?

The OP didn't mention anything about a US consulate. She/he's referring to the arrival stamp they give at the port of entry where they put your status and expiration date, not the visa stamp they glue into the passport at the consulate.
