Guys,
those waiting for Plastic Card , I had a question. After you have stamped your passport , are there any issues that might jeopordize your status while you wait for the plastic card ?
 
Some issues , but not all:

1. Illegal activities such as Drugs, Terrorism etc.,
2. Staying away from US for a period more than 1 year.

These will lead to revoking the PR status and deportation.Sometimes the employer will threaten you that they will revokde your GC, if you swicthed the job immediately afte getting the approval.
 
Can the employers revoke it ?

Threatening is one thing but can they actually carry it out ?
 
I never heard or read anywhere that GC was revoked by employer, even though technically it is possible. But I have seen employer ( my previous mean Desi ) threatened my friend that he would revoke the GC if he quits after 1 month of GC approval. That poor fellow lost one good job offer and consulted other lawyer who told that GC can not be revoked after 3 months. I think some companies do threaten but does not really want to take the headache of revoking. Afterall they do not benefit, except the headache and harm to the others.
