I have a 30th March Apointment at the Toronto Consulate for H1 Stamping. I will be going to canada for landing.
1. Now, looking at the uncertainity about stamping experiences in Canda, I want to take a decision whether to come back on AVR OR get the visa stamped and enter in US with a visa. I think its safer to come back on AVR. If anyone has comments please comment.
2. To further investigate about AVR, today I spoke to the Border POE at Peace Bridge # 716-885-3367 to ask about AVR rule. The Official said that its perfectly fine to come back on a valid I-94 that comes with H1 visa. He was a little rude though. I guess they get quite a lot of calls about this. I also told him that my GC is applied here upon which he said that "One cannot have GC going in US and get the Permanent Residency Status in Canada. If this is the case Authorities find out then they won't let me enter US." I thought that was weird !!!!!! I guess if they ask about GC while entering back one must avoid talking about it as much as possible. Experts please comment.
Regards,
