I checked my case on the INS website yesterday morning around 10am and it was the same old "resumed" message. At 3pm it had changed to RFE sent. So they definately update during the day.
I checked the AVM the previous night and it had the old message, but last night it had been updated.
The 2 systems seem to be pretty much in sync.
