Hi there,

My I-485 EB2 case is transferred to San Jose, CA (INS local office). Don't even know why! This probably means "Interview"! Wonder someone would be able to provide transfer timeline and interview preparation information.

How do you know

that your case is transferred to San Jose. Do they specify the local INS center as San Jose in the Voice message.

What does your Online message say.

Please post.

Which area do you stay in the Bay area.

Hi Arun,

I visited the following link to check my case status. At AVM, the computer voice message does specify San Jose office. Basically, the AVM reads out word-by-word the case status listed below. The area that I stay is San Jose with zip code 95148.

Hope the information is useful to you and hope you would not need to go through what I will need to.

Best regards,
