AVM message changed at TSC (EB3/India case)

Ever since I applied for I-485 at TSC in Aug99, till yesterday AVM used to say "case not found".

Tonight it is changed to "In Aug 2000, we have received the response for Request for further evidence/information. This kind of a case is taking between 240 to 365 days to process. However because preliminary processing was completed before asking for additional material, the remaining processing time for this stage of your case is approximately 365 days. You will receive a written decision on this case"

I am not aware of any such RFE during Aug 2000, nor did my attorney know anything about it. Infact, I had no RFE so far. I remember, about 6 months ago, an IIO told me the same about receiving the response of RFE in Aug 2000 though he could not tell anything about what the RFE was all about.

I would like to know if anybody observed this change on AVM in thier cases too. My first finger prints have expired in April 2001 and I am still waiting for my second FP notice. Hopefully this change is due to assigning of my case to an officer.

I will keep you posted if I come to know of any developments in my case.

Hi,

Last night the message was changed for my wife too. It used to say the case was not found . Now it say "Your I485 Application was received on mar 6 th.......". So I guess yesterday they upgraded the system or did some thing to their computer system and it is just the computer and we should not become very hopeful about it. You know its TCS.

Niraj,

thanks for your reply. Yes, I know we can\'t be optimistic when dealing with TSC. Can you please post details of your case and your wife\'s case inlcuding if your first FP is in expired state etc.

thanks & good luck,

PD 11/97 , RD 2/00 ND 3/00 , FP 5/00.
our finger prints are going to expire in august. Once I talked to an IIO ( Surprisingly a Nice one ) she advised me to call again in early August to request to recosider my case before the finger print expires. I am planning to call them again by June end. Let\'s see what happens.

I am kind of disappointed the this GC thing is working. Any way there is no other way out but to wait.

By the way My wife\'s detail are same as mine.
but the AVM was able to find my case and not her\'s.

Thanks
Niraj

AVM at TSC is not an accurate one to rely on. Even for my case #, I get the same kind of message
saying \'case not found\'. Consolation is that my wife\'s SRC # can be found and it gives the standard
message of 265 to 365 days for processing time. In the past many of our other friends on this board
faced similar kind of problem with the AVM.
It is good though they have updated the AVM. It has been a week that I have checked my case #
on the AVM. I will try checking as what it says now!

Looks like TSC has updated their AVM system. Mine and my wife 485 case message also has changed from "case not found" to "We have received your case on..... blah blah". RD 12/00 ND 12/00
