AVM message after giving FP

Hi all,
Myself and my husband gave our fingerprints at San Jose in the first week of Feb, a month before our scheduled date. Everything went OK. We checked the AVM message yesterday:
For my husband it says that his fingerprints were received by the INS and that work will resume on his case. I assume that\'s a good thing.

But for me it says that the INS has sent a Fingerpringing notice and that I should receive it in 15 days.
Why again???
I checked with the FBI today. They say they received the Fingerprints on the day I got fingerprinted and they have sent them over to the INS. Does that mean that the FBI was OK with my fingerprints?

What went wrong in my case???

Can someone please shed some light on this ?

Thanks in advance!

Just wait. AVM takes time to update

Just wait. Sometimes AVM takes time to update or sometimes never updates.

I think there does not appear anything wrong in your case. You just need to wait for sometime before drawing conclusions. If you are anxious, call Service Center to enquire about your application or FP.

AVM message was updated after I gave the fingerprints.

Thank you for your reply Slmmi.

We received our FP notice on Feb 02 \'02.
We checked the AVM before we went to give the fingerprints. It was the same old I-485 message, saying that it takes some 360 days etc. for processing, it said nothing about the FP notices issued to us on Jan 30. We assumed they had not yet updated it.
We gave the Fingerprints on Feb 6. FBI said they sent the fingerprints to the INS on Feb 6.
But the AVM for me on Feb 11 says that a fingerprinting notice was issued for me on Feb 07 and that I should receive it in 15 days.
So, either there\'s a mistake in the fingerprinting issue date of the AVM updated message or I have to give the fingerprints again :-(

We have not yet been able to get thru\' to an INS official to ask for an explanation, so right now, I think I\'ll stay put and wait for the notice until I do get a hold of an INS official.

Thanks :-)

No Title

i\'m sure there is no need to worry. the same thing happened to me. i was able to do my fingerprint, verified with FBI that they returned it back to INS a week before. During this time the AVM message for me was "mailed a notice for fp sched....takes 15 days.

Thank you for your reply, but some I have some more questions

Carmina, Thank you for your reply.

We did manage to speak to an INS official today. All he could say was that the current status of my case was that a FP notice was sent to me on Feb 07. After I explained the situation to him, he said that probably my fingerprints were not clear enough and so the INS wants me to fingerprint again.

Well, I have not received the second notice yet.

If you don\'t mind I would like to ask you some more questions about your experience.
Did you receive the second notice, after all? And if so did you go to get fingerprinted again?

Thanks in advance!
