AVM and Online msg are not the same

I checked my case in AVM and it says they had received my response to RFE on sep 27.
Checked online after that which is still showing RFE sent on 9/12. apperently both systems have their own data sources.

my AVM/web info is finally in-sync

Till last Friday my AVM was saying that "RFE was sent on ...", whereas the web site reported that my "FP were processed on ...". As of Friday, they both report the same status. Looks like they eventually get their info from the same source:)

AVM changes first

from my experience, AVM will change between 11 p.m. and 12 p.m (midnight) the day the case was processed, Internet status will change the next afternoon after the processing day.

Caching

May be INS caches the data for online from the source used by AVM, refreshing the cache after a fixed interval. My online message synced up with AVM the next day.

interesting observation - my EAD AVM changed on Aug 15th and I check online only around 25th Sept - so, looks like that is not always true...

Another interesting fact

In my case, the online system prints the following:

"On September 27, 2002, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 975 and 999 days for us to process this kind of case. However, because preliminary processing was complete before we requested the additional material, the remaining processing time for this stage of your case is approximately 999 days. You will receive a written decision on this case."

However the AVM says " ....the remaining processing time for this stage of your case is approximately 160 days......"

In one case its 999 days and in the other its 160 days. You can draw your own conclusions! There are certainly two data sources that are updated by different processes!

NV2001, when did you lawyer send a response to RFE? I hope you don't mind me asking. Mine was sent on 9/18 but the AVM has never changed from "RFE was sent on ...".

thanks,
