Automatic Extension of EAD

Basically my EAD is expiring on July 10th. My 90 days since th receipt date will be over on 8th July.
I have already scheduled an appointment infopass for 8th July to get an Interim EAD.
I just now was calling to do a status inquiry on my EAD case, incase it triggers and approval. But as soon as you call them and chooise optioin 1 for english, there is a recoreded message which says that if your EAD expires on 5th July 2005, it is automaticaly renewed until 5th Oct. I am not sure I understand the message very well. and what it means to me and my case.
I would really apprecaite if anybody could tell me more about this system they have come up with. If I could avoid going to Newark office for IEAD, that would really be nice.

If EAD is not approved in 90 days since its applied then you can get interim EAD from local office.

Follow the link. Just found it. Its not for all applications. It's only for Hondurans and Nicaraguans.
