I have sent the fees to St Louis on 05/19/04.
The automated message says"NVC is awaiting the return of Biograhic Data Form from the agent and will let u know the outcome in 6-8 weeks.
Does this mean NVC have sent the Packet-3????or something else.
If its true Boy they are fast.

did u send fee by overnight post or by ordianry mail

My attorney sent the fees on 05/20/04 by USPS certified mail.

NVC Message:

I sent my P3 back to NVC on May 26. Receipt Date is May 26.

I checked the status of my case today (June 7), and got the following message:
"NVC HAS COMPLETED REVIEWING YOUR CASE. PLEASE GIVE 6 WEEKS FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS. "

Does this mean NVC is ready to send my application to Mumbai Consulate?
If that is the case, should I expect an interview in August?

Looking forward to some expert opinion.

Yes. It means the review is completed and the file is now ready to be sent
to Mumbai Consulate. You have a very good chance of making the August
list.

As Raju said the review is completed.

When the file is forwared, the last NVC update you will hear is that your case has been forwarded to the consualte in Mumbai, etc.
 
Date packet-3 reaches Mumbai Consulate

Is there a way to find out when the application has actually reached the Mumbai Consulate (and entered in their system), after NVC sends it?

Or, is the rule of thumb "7 to 10 days after NVC sends the application".

Basically, I want to proactively estimate my interview month, without waiting for my interview date to be published at the Consulate website.

As said earlier August is a good estimate.

You call the consulate after about 7-10 days and ask them. Keep on repeat it every few days untill you get your answer.
