I have received a letter dated June 15th 2007 from U. S. Consulate General stating that my immigrant visa interview is scheduled on 30-Aug-2007 .
Recent Updated Regarding The “Cut-Off Dates For Immigrant Visas” States That “To Qualify For An Appointment, An Applicant's Priority Date (The Date That The Petition Was Filed) Must Fall Before The Cut-Off Date For The Appropriate Category”

E3 Unavailable Unavailable
Preference category: E2-IND
Priority Date: March 2006

MY CASE NUMBER SHOWS IN Immigrant Visa Appointment Schedule for AUGUST 2007 under category E2 but my priority date is March 2006

Can anyone let me know if my interview will be CANCLED or is it still VALID.
Thanks

Raj

I'm with you for Aug 30, 2007

Gentlemen, I have an appt. at Mumbai Consulate for the same date (Aug 30, 2007). I too verified my BMB number on the Consulate Interview Schedule. More or less I have the same questions as everyone else. Do you know if we'll get our passports back the same day as the interview? C

So the roller coaster ride continues...

Folks,

I thought I had a roller coaster ride in July but they continue it to Aug! We landed in India spending 10K on the tickets, learnt on 2nd July, the visas are over, but they had not withdrawn the visa bulletin! And then there were talks of legal action which could bring everything to a standstill! So, we just got ready to request H1/H4 stamping if things turned sour! Ultimately we got the IV!

Now you folks are on to this ride. I pray you get the IVs and everything goes fine with you all. Please do get in touch with the Consulates if you can and READ their tone/voice when they answer your question whether they have visa numbers available for you given the Aug visa Bulletin which says across the board Unavailable. They wont/cant answer it either way but the question we are asking is to get the feel of their tone.

If possible meet the candidates in line for the interview on earlier days who look like EB category (and also those who look like nurses) and get their input after they return from interviews. Above all, DONT be heartbroken if things dont go the way we expect. We get too much of a roller coaster ride because we have paid $335 per person!

Also, there are 7K unused visas coming from 2006 unused family category, so you would get the first shot at these in early Sep, which is 3 days from your interview date!

Best of Luck!

Oh man!

Yes Hanuman, correctly said; the roller coaster ride continues for August as well.............unless the Appt. Schedule on website gets changed; i'm going to remain optimistic. Thinkglobalsmart - Mr. Patil and I are in touch aleady. Mind sharing your email and posting it ? (make a dummy one for sakes....)
