August 03 I-485 Approved today!!!!!!!

Hi all just wanted to share this news with you all mine and my wife's I-485 approvals just came through today.

Details are: I-485 RD Aug.21,03
FP1 done on October 7, 04
Approval October 13, 04.

Thanks to Mr.Rajiv for this great website. Goodluck to all those who are still waiting.

I just have one question and would appreciate if someone can respond. My wife is booked to travel for a trip outside of the US this Saturday. We had no idea that the approval would come through so fast after our FPs. She was going to use her AP to return. Now that our I-485's have been approved can she still travel on her AP and we do our PP stamping after she returns or she now must have her passport stampped before travelling. Your thoughts will be highly appreciate.

Normally advisable to have stamping once approved.
 
Abidb, Congratulations first of all!!! That was a fast approval indeed.

If I remember correct, you are from one of the NSEERS countries? Did you get any RFE or any other issue related to that? Thanks!

Shaf thanks...no I didn't get any RFE or anything of that sort. There was no change in LUD till this morning and in the evening I got the approval emails. I feel that I have somehow lucked out for getting approval so soon.

I wish everyone got approved this fast.
 
Abidb, congrats, you are really lucky!
Once approved you must get your passport stamped before leaving US.
 
Abidb - congrats!

I have the same details as yours practically - 485 dt is 8/21 and FP was done on 10/8.......the only difference is that the LUD changed for the derivative on 10/12. Nothing for the primary yet.......
 
folks thank you all so much for your wishes.....

It is so unfortunate for all of us that we have to classify a case filed back in Jun.2001 (which is when my labor was filed) as a fast approval despite the fact that it took almost 3.5 years. I sincerely wish things pick up so all those who are waiting in anticipation for their green cards get it soon!!!!

GivemeGeeCee my I-140 was approved back on 22nd April 04. Yes this was a concurrent filling under the EB3 category. I see that your ND is very close mine, do let me know if you need any other information at all, be glad to provide it to you. Goodluck!!
