Aug2003 485 approved, dependant waiting

Dear all: I got the email notice on March 25 saying my 485 was approved. This is a great forum. Thank you very much for sharing info here!

However, my husband's 485 is still pending. My LUD changed on March 25th, and it changed again today. But my husband's LUD has no change. The last update on his online profile was May 2004, when his FP was done. Is it normal to have principal applicant's case approved first but not dependant's? How much longer would he wait for his case to be approved? Most of my friends got the cases approved for the whole family together.

My details:
RIR EB3, PD: Feb 2002
I-140/I-485 concurrently: August 2003 (husband's 485 filed the same time)
140 approved: April 2004
First FP notice: June 15 2004. My husband did it one month earlier on May 15 because he had to travel out of town, mine was done as directed on June 15 2004.
485 AD: 03/25/2005
Husband's 485 still pending

Congratulations!! Yes I have seen a few friends of mine where principal applicant is approved but the dependant takes time. I know one friend of mine , in his case his wife got the GC after almost 6 months of primary applicants approval.. so i guess there is no worry and enjoy the freedom.

Congrats on your approval !

Its amazing how my timelines are quite similar to yours, with difference of few months here and there (see my signature). I hope your approval means mine is around the corner too. Sorry to be sounding selfish !

Hi,

2-d FP 08/10/04

My husband's still doesn't have an approval yet and after that I asked congressmen to help us his case recently moved to the local INS office.

Below the information from congressmen
According to the Liaison of the Nebraska Service Center, your
file is currently located with your wife's file in the green card production area. However USCIS records do not indicate that your file has been approved to date. The liaison has requested your file to determine the status of your case.

Thanks
Elena

Thank you all!

Elena: thanks for sharing your experience. It is strange that your husband's case was not taken care of in a reasonable timeframe. And it worries me a little bit about my husband's case too. Good luck to your husband anyway.

Serta2002: I think your case will also be approved very soon. Good luck! BTW, how did you find out your name check was done in Dec 2003? Is there a way to check that? I am just wondering maybe name check is not done for my husband yet, which leads to his delay. But his message for FP was updated and everything else seems to be ready.
