Aug RD Case Transferred to KC Local INS

Here r my details.
Rd Aug 6,2001
ND Sep 18.

My case got transferred to Kansas City Local INS as of
Oct 10.

Why do they transfer cases to local ins offices?.
Is it for sure for an interview?.
Has anyone got approved from any local office without interview?.

Will they approve right after the interview? or do I have to wait another 6 months?.

Guys plz share your experiences.

I am sick of NSC.

Transfer to KC INS

Usually, a local transfer is for a face-to-face interview but you shouldn't be concerned. Your file could have been transfered because you got married during the process or your fingerprints were never cleared with the FBI. The interview involves maybe 2 or 3 questions about your job, where you live, and if your address is correct. Then you hand over your EAD, I-94, and passport for stamping.

BTW, the KC office takes about 5 months before they get around to sending you a notice.

Rafiq, after receiving RFE for

employment verification and BC affidavits, is it possible for the case to get transferred to a local INS?

Could you please comment on this.

Thanks for reply. Yes I did marry during the process and for many others they didn't get any interview. My FP is cleared long back.
Did u had your interview in KC?. It doesn't look like they r taking
5 months to respond.
How long will it take to transfer to Local INS I mean the file to get here.
