Aug 2001 I-485 Case got approved(4 months after Security check)

Hello Everybody,
I have been pursuing my sister's case thru this forum for last 1 yr.
Her dates were :
ND - Aug 2001
FP - Feb 2002
RFE 1, RFE 2, RFE 3 in 2002
Local office Transfer : Feb 2003
Interview - Nov 2003 - got stuck in Security check..
Approved letter received by Lawyer(Murthy) today when then called for status check on last week....

BEST part is the approval stamp is from a day before she left for India for 3 months due to family reasons...

I was wondering does she need to come early for the stamping or does the card come automatically.

Congrats to you and your Sister. It must have been a horrible journey. Good that it finally ended on a good note. What is your Status ?

I am a US Citizen now. Had to go thru all the GC stuff rom 94 -97.
10 days before my GC interview, FIRST time in US immigration history, the GC numbers ran out and the Priority date was no more current.. So I suffered that time...

Got the card in 3weeks after the approval without even have to go for the passport stamping. INS has really improved as far as issuing the cards so fast after the approval.
