First, get a very competent attorney. The old attorney will give you all kind of BS. Only an attorney can extract anything out of him/her.
Did your attorney provide copy of your labor application to you? Mine did. I think they are legally oblized to do so. If you have those document, just mail them to your new attorney (keep a copy).
If you must have a DIY solution, you can threaten your attorney with a complaint to bar against them. Sound VERY confident when you do so. They may show bravado, laugh at your face... but if there's anything any merit in your complain, it'll make them quake in their boots. Hell, it's no fun even if it's without merit... it might get you some compliance.
Your best solution still might be the first one mentioned above. Good Luck... and make sure to let us know what happened.
