I understand from the time i became a member of this forum you(formerasyless) are the only person i have seen so far that you are a sworn us citizen formerasylee. So, there is a big question arising in the mind of members here whether IO will ask THE question "Have you renewed your passport?"I am just wondering whether you have received a question like this?Would you please share your experiences during the interview.I would like to thank you in advance for taking your time on this perplexing matter.

Most of the asylees here as far as I am aware of are former asylees but not US citizens. We are Greencard holders and asylees as well. Your question has been debated fiercely here, but we don't have yet someone who went through the process, and who can explain the matter to us... In short, we don't know for sure what are the consequences for renewing national passport or visiting COP. Some say it is not good; others say no problem...

I will probably have an experience to add in a few months. My mother is eligible to apply in early February and I will be posting her experiences here. She is a GC holder based on asylum married to a USC. So the questions may be different, but I will let everyone know.

i am pretty much sure(i might be wrong) that there was someone here called formerasylee s a sworn citizen. This person used post threads here.Maybe a couple of months ago.Lets see i am hoping he/she takes a look at this thread.

Faysal,
Look at this link posted by formaer asylee. Look at his signature and you will see that he was an asylee and now is a citizen.

So let the person answer the question to whom it was directed instead of starting your same old beat.
Word of advise, don't reply if you don't have the answer just for the sake of replying.
Punjabi Munda: Thank you for correcting me if I made a mistake on my post. Having said that I would like to point out one thing for you; as you live in the US and you become a US citizen there is one thing you need to learn; to respect other’s opinion even if you don’t like it. It is a basic principle by the name “Freedom of expression”. When you will take the oath of citizenship you will be instructed to swear that you will protect the constitution and protecting the constitution will need that you protect freedom of expression. It is constitutional right even though people like you might not respect it. In addition, I am not your baby or espouse so you don’t have to tell me to shut up. I am adult. You are not the moderator or the people who run the forum, so your comment telling me to shut has no legitimate basis.

You have provided as an evidence someone who was featured in an article in a news paper. I know many individuals who got their citizenship through asylum without problem. They are my relatives and friends. They got asylum, got greencard and become citizens of this country without problem. Asylees have the right become US citizens. There is however one issue people wanna know about. It an individual who got asylum through asylum, and went to back to his country of persecution or renewed his passport before citizenship. Would this be a problem or it is not. This is the question that is coming back over and over. If you know someone like this or that person is a member of this forum please come forward with the answers. I have not said nobody can answer the question. I just mentioned the fact that individuals who are member of this forum like Cade1, Thankful, Wantmycreencard, Floyd, Mist, and you and I are not citizens. And that is true. Doing little research and bringing an article featured in a news paper somewhere in America doesn’t answer the question either.

Note: if you really follow my postings clearly, I always respond to questions posted directly. I don’t name people or attack them. What I say may be wrong or right, but they are always right from my perspective. They don’t have to be right in the eyes of others. So please answer the question in your way. I didn’t ask the question but gave my opinion.

Here we go again....

Faysal,
No one told you to shut up just don't clutter the forum when you have nothing to add with your "a whole lot of nothing" kind of posts.
Now, to your comment, I didn't dig up the article for nothing. The link I posted directs you to a thread that was started by "Formerasylee" to whom this question was directed to. Since you mentioned in your first irrelevant response in this thread that (in your own words) "Most of the asylees here as far as I am aware of are former asylees but not US citizens". Open your eyes and read the post before you start blabbering.
But the formerasylee signature in his thread clearly shows that he was an asylee who became a citizen in 2004. That's why OP asked him that question NOT YOU but somehow you feel obligated to put your two cents in everything and stick your nose where it doesn't belong.
You are the last person who I want to hear a lecture from on Constitution and immigration issues who in your own opinion, needs to work on your English skills and Immigration knowledge. Who also think that asylees and refugees are same and we should lie about it to USCIS. Who is also of a beleiver that if you go to COP after GC for even a legitimate reason then your asylum claim is fake but you plan to take you royal ass to your COP as soon as you get your US citizenship. If you are derivative and you think its no problem now or after citizenship for you, why don't you go now. This forum can use a break from your lame ass postings. Look at the link below, I'm beginning to think if you are somehow related to this person called "Ohioasylee". He used to act like an air head and liked to argue a lot just like you.... Are you his friend?

I new from the begining that you were craving for to pick fight on me. I am not though. I believe that you are a decent person and have the potential to contribute to this forum in a meaningful way. I wasn't aware of, however, that you were following my posts that closely. I don't know if you fell in love with me in some ways because I would scrutinize in that way only someone I love....Any way, forget about the quarel and let us make the forum helpful for those who need help...

Another point: I have read the thread whose link you provided. I am sorry that that guy insulted you that bad even though you asked for it. I am not that person. I have been member of this forum for long time, and my signiture name is common. In the thread though it is damaging to you because it shows that you behave like a gaurdian. That guy started a thread you have nothing to with. I have seen it many times and never opened or read becuase it never interested me. and everybody has a right to post whatever they want. there are however moderators who can delete and warn people if they find their posts cause damages.

Yeah right...

In love? me with you? Are you a day dreamer? Faysal is a male name and I know that you know what Punjabi_Munda means because of your association with Lahore. So why would you want me to fall in love with you? Please get some professional help if you are having weird thoughts.

I will let you have the final word...I know you are online, and from thread you porovided you tough fighter; I am not....Have the final word and sleep in peace. God bless you and make you successful in your life...

Come on guys, get over it. I dont see any reasons for you two or any body else in this forum to fight. Don't make your day like this.
