Hi All,

I went to INS Oakland ASC with the expired FP notice. They didn\'t consider and asked me to re-schedule another day for the FP. I gave my original FP notice to the security guard, he said the officer would re-schedule another date for us and let us know with in 90 working days.

We were kind of hoping we would be able to make it today, but was disappointed at this. But the security guard was very polite though.

How long would it take to get another date?. Anybody had any insight on this.

By original date was 02/03/2001. I was out of the country for a month and came back to US on 02/19/2001, hence the confusion.

Pachai,

While the security quard is friendly, he is obviously not very
helpful or knowledgeable. You should be able to do the finger
prints even after the expiration of the appointment date.

If you don\'t want to wait for them to re-schedule your FP, go
to the nearest local INS office and request one there.

How could i do that.

Can you suggest some ways and give the nearest INS office
Address.

Hi pachai,

What I meant was to go to the local INS office which has jurisdiction
over where you live to request a finger print notice (not to do the
finger prints). Try to think over a good reason why you need a
notice badly in a hope that they will be convinced and willing to
help you out. Good luck, and please keep us posted.
