attending school while pending I-485

You can do it part time not full time. Make sure you are also in position to reply for the RFE. (EVL, Paystubs etc)

Thank you gc waiter for your response

Is this valid for a dependent too?
I understand the reason why the primary applicant can not attend school full time, he has to work! :) But how about an dependent applicant, still can not go full time?

dependants

can work or go to school full time with EAD. For dependants it really doesn't matter.

its not true that if you are working full time then you cannot study full time...

You must be on H1 or L1 rite now and i believe it says that one cannot study full time on those status. If you are using EAD then i think the story is different...

Please check with your laywer on this since it is all my opinion.

It depends upon how you handle your work load. Full time student is defined as someone who does nothing other than study. But it is possible to take 9 or even 12 credits per semester and work 40 hours a week. Offcourse your social life etc. will be ruined but you could do it! So technically you cannot be a full time student, but can take the work load of a full time student when you are working full time.

As far as dependents are concerned, there is no restriction what so ever on job or study load.

I did a saturday program for 18 months right after my LC was filed back in 2001. I think, you are good as long as you are either part time or everning or week-end programs. The credit hours does not matter.

You will be considered an international student depending on your status.
