Attend interview in India

hello all,
My 140 has been approved in March and has been sent to NVC.Currently I am in India and wish to in India till the interview.
Does it matter at any point of time that we have to be in US or can we be in India,say for another 6 months till the interview is over?

I guess it should be okay as long as things r working out for u. Howerver, the only thing u might want to worry about is PCC - police clearance certificate... as u will be staying in india for more than 6 months before the interview, u will need pcc from local police stn also. U may have come across the articles related to pcc on this board.
