Atlanta Interview

Hi guys,

Re: RD/ND 04/16/02

My wife and I went to interview to Atlanta on October 5th. We had appointments (certainly), but we went in the same time (since most of the things were similar anyway). The officer was extremely courteous (he had to deal with the fact the the clerks who were supposed to input our data into the computer the day before did not do his/her job). He worked dilligently with the data and within an hour we were done. We got our passports stamped. He asked for our previous EADs, our tax records for the past 3 years, employment verification letter. He used the photos we submitted 2 years ago, the ones from the side (we had new photos with us, from the face, but he didn't ask for them). Pleasant experience. Yesterday, I went to the Social Security office to request for me and my wife new SSN cards without the "Valid for work with INS authorization" note on them. It will take probably 2-3 weeks to get them.
That's all.

TSCgauss.

Did you get your interview notice? When are you going to be interviewed?

Thanks. I merely got my FP notice, without any interview notice. I got my FP done on 10/05.

May I know what your RD/ND is?

Thanks to all for the good words.

Our I-485 ND/RD were 04/16/2002. Our cases got transferred to Atlanta in September 9th. My wife received her FP in the same time (I already did mine, a few months before, while my case was at TSC). She did her FP on Sept. 19th.

1) The officer did not ask a lot of questions, just a few among the ones on the original I-485 application. Trivial ones....

2) I mentioned already the paperwork that he asked for...

3) We wanted to replace the SSN cards because on the old ones, there's the usual "Valid for work with INS authorization"...

Good luck to all of you...

TSCGauss....

Are we allowed to take kids at the interview? My son is 2 and he is a citizen.

shall i take his information as well?
