Hey guy's,
This is me again.I went to interview this morning even though that i received a letter telling me that it was cancled because i guess that my file is still in Texas.(Read my last post)
Anyway, the officer was a pretty indian lady. She called me into her office and asked for my I.D which i showed her.
She then told me that my file is still in Texas, she did not ask me if i received an interview schedule cancellation notice, so i did not tell her.But i mentioned to her that this is the second time that my interview was because of my missing file.I showed her the copy of my original application, she put me under oath, asked to see my greencard, Driver's li and SS card.Asked me the background questions from the application.I took the written and answered the questions about the U.S government and history,i passed all of them.
She told me to go take pictures downstairs because according to her,if my file is lost for good (which i dont think so), they would use this temporary folder she made for me today to decide my case and they would need two pictures.
So i made some more copies of other documents which she put in the temporary folder. Then she gave me the interview results sheet which she checked, "You have passed the english and U.S/government.
"INS would send you a written decision about your application"
She said that i would be notified as soon as my file arrives.
Down the hall, they had the first of the schduled 3 oath ceremonies for the day.If my file was there today.I probably would have had my swearing in and citizenship certificate today.
Thats all folks.

Answers to your questions

I had registered for the selective service when i became a P.R , so i just brought the confirmation letter from S.service to the interview with me.
No , she did not take my greencard, i gave her a copy though.

By the way, after my interview in the morning, i went home and called the INS to find out why for the 2nd time my file had not arrived in atlanta for my interview.(Read my previous post for details)The texas center customer rep was nice.
She told me that my file was sent to atlanta on friday aug,30th 2002.My interview was on tuesday sep,3rd 2002.So just one day late minus the labor day holiday.Anyway, i hope they send the oath of ceremony letter soon.

BIG TIP !!!!!!!!! for Texas service center clients.

If you want to call the ins to inquire about your n-400 apllication or missing file.DO not, i repeat Do not call the # on your receipt notice.I gaurantee you spend at least 2-4hrs trying to get through.I learned this the hardway when i called the # on my receipt notice after my interview.
Instead call the regular TSC customer line.(214-381-1423 )i got through withing 45minutes, i called them three different times. The # on receipt notice is always busy 99.9% of the time.
Anyway, just i tip/suggestion.
Take care folks.
