ATLANTA District Office. Afternoon Interview Experiences

Atlanta is one of the very few DOs where same day oath is allowed for those who have interview in the morning.
Last week, however a friend of mine was allowed to participate in the 2:30 PM oath event even though his interview was at 1:30 PM.
The officer told him that they were permitted to do exceptions when the candidate is from another state or far away.
His naturalization certificate wasn't ready until an hour after the oath ceremony, however he was called in and allowed to take the oath.

My wife had had her interview in Dec in the afternoon(1:25PM). The officer told her he would try to get her same day oath and he did. Her certificate was printed before the oath.
But I know someone who had interview after 1M and they told him to wait for the oath letter in the mail. He got the oath scheduled about 10 days later.

In both the above cases the candidates were from outside of GA.
