This forum has been our guiding light as we went through this process, so I will share my experience. Our interview was today, March 27th at the Atlanta DO.
Our interview was scheduled for 1pm. We got there at 1.05pm (Atlanta traffic, that's my story and I am sticking to it!). We checked in at the entrance and was told to go to the 3rd floor. Check in there again and was told to sit and wait for our name to be called. We waited about 5 to 10 minutes (they have a nice waiting area with flat screen tvs and all). Once called, Officer Williams, or IO took us to his office and swore us in. We sat and he started to go through our file just confirming our information, name, address, phone number, SS#, occupation. He did make a few jokes, very nice and easy to chat with. He was very interest in my hubby's profession - law enforcement. He then went through the I-485 questions. No, no, no - no fraud, no terrorist etc. He then ask for documentation of marriage. Ok here are bank statements, health insurance, car insurance. I had bills and credit cards, he took the credit cards and said that was enough. He made copies of our drivers license and said he needed a copy of my hubby's (USC) birth certificate and said we were approved. He went through the process of removing conditions, laughed and talked a little bit more and we were out of the door. He never asked for pics. I asked for a stamp in my passport. He said they usually don't do it, but since my hubby was law enforcement, he would do it, but I had to surrender my work permit. So there it is. Hopefully it help people who may be wondering about ATL. Great experience. No real relationship questions asked. No lawyer used. The IO gave us his name and phone number. On the way home he did call us, saying that he forgot to ask how I wanted my name to be printed on the card. He was really nice.
