at what stage one gets RFE

Trying to find some consolation in this tiresome process.
If we look at the approvals in October and November ND they have 65% and 35% respectively of all the posted and fingerstamped entries. Avarage RFE % is around 5%.

Now my question is: Does one gets RFE when the assigned Officer looks a the file or before it.

If it is before as I read in some thread somewhere that officers pick up ready to adjust files.. then are the chances of us getting an RFE very low.

anyone any comments!!!!
 
I tend to think that if an RFE is generated then it is most likely after an INS officer has looked at the case.

Are there any cases with more than 1 RFE for the same AOS/485 application?

Are there any cases with at least 1 RFE for AOS/485 and also an interview?

I have not seen any of these cases. Hence I guess RFE is only issued by an officer after the case has been looked at.

When I called up IIO in July, he sadi case was assigned and on July 28th, INS sent out RFE for our cases. So I assume it is after the assignment to the officer that RFE's are issued. But one never knows with INS.

Wrong date

I'm sorry for the mistake. RFE was issued on June 28th, received by lawyer on july 3 and replied by july 23rd. Approved on july 31st.

Radha, Thanks for the info...

Congratulations on your approval :) I don't remember your approval posted in this site! Are your all family members approved at the same time? What was the RFE for?

RFE was for the following

My husbands medical form was not signed by the doctor. That was one. Then there was the employment letter, pay stubs, tax returns etc.

Did you have to submit W2's along with other documents?

I applied few days back & did not submit my w2's. Just wanted to find out.
