At 18 do I need a parent to check in at the airport when reentering the US after travelling abroad?

So the thing is, I'm 18 and I want to travel by myself to my home country. The problem is that my parents wouldn't be able to pick me up or show up at he airport when I'll come back. Do they require for them to check in at the border if I'm 18? I heard once that there could be a problem if you're not 21, but I don't know if that's the correct information. Can anyone clarify and explain that to me?

You're 18, which makes you legally an adult in the US, so the US won't stop you from leaving the US without your parents.

What happens after you land in your country is specific to the laws and procedures of that country. Nobody here can help you unless you say which country.

I'm talking about what happens after I come back to the US.
