asylum status and canada immigration

I am still an asylee and waiting to have my GC processed, but I did apply to immigrate in canada and completed the process all what I have to do is to submit my passport to get my immigrant visa to canada, will this affect my status here if I go to canada pleas help I am really in a limbo to take decision, any advice and help will be really appreciated. my ND is sep 2005.

Yes, it will affect on your status, you're trying to take residence in another country. You can't be an asylee in USA and Resident of Canada at the same time. You have two choices! To be an Asylee here in USA or to Immigrate to Canada
