Asylum interview decisions?

Hey guys need your help!!!

Nebraska office receieved my I-589 on 01/16/07 and i went for my interview on 2/21/07. Its now been about 9 weeks and i still havent got any reponse concerning the results of my interview. i wrote a letter 3 weeks ago and i still havent got a response either. Does nyone have any idea how to proceed from here? should i go to the asylum office in person? On the website they state that i can only write a letter or enquire in person. Has any1 been in a similar situation and how long does it normally take to get the decision.

did the immigration officer that interviewed say anything about coming in 14days to pick up ur result? and if not, you know the name of the IO,phone #,or fax # ?

she just said i would receive the decision in the mail but she didit state when i would receive it. i know her name.

Good-- Write to her to find out ur status but be very polite and make sure u certifed ur mail. Good Luck.
