asylum hearing questions

hello,

i got my asylum rejected by the officer after the interveiw mainly cos of passport issue though i told her i had no choice but to buy and got fake as i can't get real one to come in this country.

so this was the charges in the notice of referel letter.
i applied for asylum almost four years after my arrival here but have good explaination backed by psycholigical therapiists doctors letters on the question of why didn't apply within the one year deadline.
my parents died within one year of my arrival here and myself still suffering from the trauma of suffering in the begining of my arrival and then also trauma of the loss of my parents are the defense or excuse for one year deadline issue.
my first master calender hearing before the judge was in early dec of 2004 which was about 3 weeks after the rejection from the asylum officer , but i was told that my first hearing before the judge got postponed to march of 2005. will this have better chance for me?????
also i know the main hearing will be the individual hearing with the judge.
anyone got approved by the judge on case like mine????

Hi

My case was rejected by the asylum officer and approved by the judge.
One of my hearings with the Im. Judge was also postponed and I can only tell you one thing about it: It was good for me!
You will have more time to prepare your case with your attorney, do some research online, translate documents that are written in your native language,etc.
DO AS MUCH AS YOU CAN- IT´S NEVER TOO MUCH!!!!!!
Don´t ever think you have done enough....Call/email you lawyer, ask him about the ideas you have...sometime there are things you said in your application that you can disclose in the trial..But eveything needs to be discussed with the atorney----he/she IS the profesional. Don´t do anything by yourself. The appearance to the judge is kind of your last chance for asylum...Appeal is a pain in the behind. So go ahead, prepare your mind,pray to your God and don´t give up!!!!!!!
