I'm kind of new to the blog. I applied my asylum back in 2011 a year back during my F1 status. I was denied by the asylum officer. I'm currently on OPT which expires sometimes in February. I'm currently living in different state. I intend to reapply my asylum while being in OPT. Can I file in new state or do I have reapply in my old state. I got mixed suggestions while consulting different lawyers saying being out of state would support my case better, and they can re appeal my old case. Please give me any suggestion if anybody has any idea or been in such situation.
