Do they have some centers or free housing for asylum seekers in USA? Since you can't work for 150 days while waiting for asylum application approval, how are you supposed to support yourself?

Well, since asylum seekers can't work during the first 6 months, how are they supposed to eat or live?
Surely it can't be expected that people come in with sufficient funds to support them for 6 months, since usually asylum seekers come from poor countries to begin with.
