Hello everyone..
I need some advice on what will happen to me...
I came to USA on December 2007 on F1 Visa...during that time I had a relationship with a man that ended badly, resulted me being homeless, but I was able to survive the first year..after that I met my current partner everything was ok, we been together now for almost 4 years, but during that time allot of family issues happened that distracted our life...anyhow I didnt know that I can apply for asylum based on being gay, but when I did I contacted immigration equality but they never replied back for over a year..after that I looked for a lawyer for couple of months and found one, I applied for asylum on Octobor 2011..they didnt reply to me, kept saying it takes time, but after a year I applied again and they answered in one month, its like the first application was lost. anyhow I got an interview date in Houston TX, it went ok I guess, he asked for some paper work and some affidavit from friends family and neighbors confirming that me and my partner been together for the past 4 years. but then 1 week exactly after the interview I got a removal proceedings under section 240.and that I have to apear in front of a judge on February 5th 2013. am confused why the officer asked for extra paper work and then send the letter in such short time?also during the interview the officer said their is no paper work in his end that says I applied a year ago and that this is my 2nd time applying, which I found it very odd.
I am from a country called Jordan in Middle east,an islamic country.
please help..thank you
