I Have Question About My New Resident. Mi Case Is This: My Stepmother Has To Come Here In United States On May 2001 She Aplyed To Political Asylum, And She Put Me Also Because I Was 18 Yeard Old, They Approved On Semptember 2001, In 2004 I Got My Resident (as8) My Question Is: I Have My Real Mother In My Country, I Don't See Her For More Than 5 Year, I Heard A Lot About Go Back, Can I Go Back To My Country With As8 Or Not, I Speak More Spanish And English I Hope You Can Understand Me!

Can You Go Back To My Country With My Resident As8? Colombia
If Not, Can I Travel To Another Country Like Panama Or Peru Is Next To Colombia

To be on the safe side, yeah, travel to a neighbouring country, like the ones you mentioned. But this issue has been on the debate grill for many years and there is no straight answer on whether it is a bad idea to visit COP or not. There have been many threads but the bottom line has always been "do whatever feels right to you". If you are ONLY visiting for a short time and also considering that you are a derivative asylee and not a primary one, if I were you , I would go for a short visit, BUT ultimately it will be your decision. It seems in 2 years you will apply for your citizenship, so maybe you can just go to a neighbouring country this time, and then after you get your citizenship you can freely go to COP.
